In the list that includes the honorable mentions, there are 23 debut albums. 14 different countries, and five continents are represented. There are 43 American bands, 8 English, 7 Canadian, 4 Australian, 2 Italian, 2 Northern Irish, 2 Norwegian, 1 Chilean, 1 Danish, 1 Irish, 1 Japanese, 1 Russian, 1 Swedish, and 1 Welsh. I was surprised that there weren’t more Canadians. There usually are. While there’s usually a couple of Scottish bands, there are none this year.
